Why We Need You

Here at the Shed, we can't stress the importance of proper education enough. Conservation, ethical sourcing, and best management practices are our foundation, and we're committed to these principles for as long as we're in business.

We're proud to offer quality fish, but we know there's so much more we can provide. That's where you come in.

Building a thriving community requires the knowledge of many people—people with a true love for the hobby and deep expertise in the fish and plants we keep. We need folks who can:

Explain the difference between KH and GH
Confidently diagnose and treat ich, epistylis, and other common ailments
Share proven techniques and best practices

We can't do this alone, and truthfully, we need your help.

Building Community Together

One Uncle, an Auntie, a couple of kids, and a good friend can come up with a great idea and get to a starting point—but we can't build a community alone. More importantly, we don't want to, because that's not what this is about.

We know all too well that finding reliable sources for aquarium information can be challenging. Facebook groups, Reddit subs, and open forums can be run by anyone (even AI!), and the quality varies wildly.

That's why we're looking for passionate blog writers to join Uncle Joe's Fish Shed's blog and community pages.
