The Krobia is truely a stand out as far as dwarf cichlids go. With its trailing fins, and thier beautiful red and orange cheecks , and turquoise undertones this peacful little cichlid is found in shallow, clear water areas of low to moderate flow in the Rio Xingu Brazil. These fish do well in an aquarium setting with fish of a like size and tempermemt. It is our belife to thuroughly enjoy these currious little friends is in a species, or regional bio tope type tank.
Conservation status
Krobia xinguensis is considered a threatened species, and maintaining it in captivity is important for its long-term survival.
