The Krobia is truely a stand out as far as dwarf cichlids go. With its trailing fins, and thier beautiful red and orange cheecks , and turquoise undertones this peacful little cichlid is found in shallow, clear water areas of low to moderate flow in the Rio Xingu Brazil. These fish do well in an aquarium setting with fish of a like size and tempermemt. It is our belife to thuroughly enjoy these currious little friends is in a species, or regional bio tope type tank.

- Tank size: Minimum 20 gallons for a pair
- Water parameters: They prefer soft, acidic water (pH 5.2-7.0) temperatures 24-30°C (75-86°F). While some sources suggest ph ranges, it's more crucial to provide stable water parameters.
- Diet: omnivorous and enjoy a varied diet of high-quality flakes, granules, pellets, frozen foods , bloodworms brine shrimp, chopped veggies, and of course live foods.
- Breeding: They are open substrate breeders, laying eggs on flat stones.
