Natural Habitat
Native to slow-moving streams and rivers of Venezuela, this species is found in soft, slightly acidic to neutral water with a PH range of 6.0 - 7.5 on the high side, along with temperature ranges around 72-79°F / 22-26°C. Well planted tanks with plenty of hiding spots along with driftwood, leaf litter, Smooth rocks and smooth substrate are ideal for these fish.
Behavior and Tank Compatibility
