Limia Perugia ( R Miller 66)

Limia perugiae is endemic to the Caribbean island of Hispaniola, inhabiting diverse water environments ranging from freshwater streams to brackish and hypersaline lakes in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.Males usually grow up to 30–60 mm (1.2–2.3 in), while females are larger, averaging about 40–50 mm (1.6–2 in). Males display striking coloration with metallic blue and silver scales, yellow/orange caudal fins edged in black, and a black dorsal fin. The intensity of these colors often relates to male dominance. Females are generally silver or pale yellowish with a distinctive black spot on the dorsal fin. Dominant males may develop a hump on their back as they mature. Limia Perugia is peaceful and often found in large shoals in the wild, showing active, social behavior
